duchess china 1888 // mugs

Yesterday, David + I had the pleasure of visiting Duchess China 1888 up in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. We had a tour of their pottery factory in the morning before collecting another batch of my recently made fine bone china mugs. It was a wonderful in-sight to their skilled processes.

some pics from inside the factory + pic of me in front of the factory - matching my blue mugs with my blue coat but also forgetting to smile! luckily it’s a pic with my eyes open so that’s a bonus.

Duchess is one of the oldest UK potteries specialising + producing fine bone china. Their pieces are hand made on site + ship for many makers worldwide.

It was really inspiring to see how their ranges are all skilfully made. The craftmanship + passion involved is wonderful + clear to see.

I’m very chuffed to have the team up at Duchess help me transfer my block printed artworks onto their hand made U.K. chinaware. As I’m a big tea drinker, having their beautifully made mugs in my hands is super special.

Thank you to those who pre-ordered your mugs! Those have now been dispatched + are on their way to you.

‘Bluebell’ + ‘Spring Flowers’ mugs are available from my online shop - come gift wrapped + sent tracked.
